Why there are “Bad people who succeed? “

An interesting concept I was introduced to by reading the book “ Karmic management” by M. Roach.
The book says that nothing is obvious, the real thing behind any action is what the person thinks deeply inside his heart.
So some leaders seem very nasty though somewhere deep they want the company and each of the team to succeed and this is why they are so demanding,
while others are very nice, no not because they want everyone to be successful but just to pass the day without disturbances.

Who will succeed more? Most probably the first type.
But the main point is that the human heart is a place deep inside and judgmental of others' heart is can be very misleading.
